Shelly Fitts, PA-C

Rogue Valley Urology is pleased to welcome Shelly Fitts to the practice in October who will be based out of the Bend office.  Shelly spent several years in Alaska working on commercial fishing boats after she graduated from high school.  She completed her undergraduate degree at Utah State University in Forestry and Natural Resources Management while she worked as a wildland firefighter.  Shelly relocated to Bend in 1998 and worked as a counselor. She eventually became the wilderness director for the Northstar Center, a residential treatment program for at-risk youth.

She completed a wilderness first responder course during her employment at Northstar. This was the catalyst for her interest in medicine.  Shelly was then employed at the Kids Center as the Events Coordinator. She eventually moved to Portland, Maine for two years with her family to complete her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.

Shelly enjoys the typical high desert activities of skiing, biking, rock climbing and backpacking. Her husband and best friend has intrigued her interest in mountaineering and she has summited several of the central Oregon peaks.  She appreciates her longstanding friendships, loves to dance, travel, read, exercise and of course her boys, now in college and making their own way in the real world.  She has been a practicing PA since 2008.
