What is Urology?

Urology is the diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of problems within the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive system, including the kidneys, ureter, bladder and urethra. Problems can include urological cancers, impotence, kidney stones, infertility, and urinary incontinence. Pediatric urology can include bedwetting, circumcision, and undescended testicles. Urologists also perform vasectomies and vasectomy reversals.
